Auto Racing by Avalon Hill from 1979
Billed as the Official Game of the United States Auto Club this is one of Avalon Hills early Sports Illustrated Games. On an oval track you can run up to 33 cars.
Each car has its own driver card from the drivers of the time. Ongais, Foyt, Unser, Sneva, Mears, Rutherford etc, all of the biggies are included.
Each driver card has 6 tables on the back. For moving you chose weather you are going to drive normally, charge or back off and roll 2 dice on the appropriate table.
The result will tell you how far you can move or if you have car trouble.
There are 2 trouble tables that can slow you down or knock you out of the race.
There is also a pit stop table which controls how many turns you must sit at the pits before leaving.
This Game can be played by 1 to 33 players and is a Game that Strategy is the Key to winning,
Those that know when to make those crucial decisions and take the risk will prevail.
The Game is Complete and the contents are in Excellent Condition with most of the Cars still attached to their plastic frames. The Cars are unpainted but can be painted for extra enjoyment
The Box is in Very Good Condition with very little wear.
This is a Game with a lot of fans due to its excellent Game Play, The 33 drivers Cards are also collectable and to find this Game in such good condition makes it a bit special
