Flotilla - The Naval Strategy Board Game by J Dring from 1947 (Very Rare and Unplayed)
This Board Game is for 2 Players and is from J Drings Ahoy Series which included Ship Ahoy,Shipping and Flotilla,
Flotilla is the special one to obtain from the series.
Ships capture opponent's bases by landing on them. Players are then free to move their ships away, an occupation flag serves as a reminder. The minimum points value for each base is 10 points
Naval bases are marked with a circle and a points value. Higher points values tend to be given to bases which are more difficult and risky to reach.
The winner is the first to capture bases worth 100 points. For a shorter game, reduce this total.
The rules leaflet describes an advanced game offering greater scope for skill and manoeuvring.
Defence must not be neglected though and strategy is required for manoeuvring to the best advantage.
Differences in strength and speed of various units of the fleet and configuration of coasts marked on the charts ensure variety.
The Game are Complete,Excellent and unplayed, The Board is still wrapped from new, The playing pieces are still in their original tissue paper etc
The Box is in very good condition for its age with some edge scuffing as can be seen in the Picture.
This is a special one off which I am sure I will never get in this condition again.
