Red Sun Rising is a brigade/divisional level simulation of the Russo-Japanese War 1904-1905.
The game map shows the theater of operations.
The playing pieces represent the armed forces, both land and sea, of both belligerents that participated in the conflict.
The Game is finely balanced and very replayable as both sides fought a ferocious War for Control of Manchuria and Korea.
The Game Literature also gives a historical look at why the War took place and the influences that affected the outcome
