Sopwith - First World War Arial Dogfight Game by Gamer (1985)
A simple, fast-playing and very enjoyable game of World War I aerial dogfighting.
The board is hexagonal, and up to 6 players may play at once. You have your own airstrip, to which you can return for repairs and ammunition reload; however, their approach is severely constrained, leaving you vulnerable to other players awaiting to pounce on you.
Each player simultaneously selects which way they plan to fly and when to Fire their weapons by entering this onto their Control Panel(All plans are hidden behind your flight Screen) .
At the beginning of the turn all players remove their Flight screens revealing the flight plan and step by step each player moves or fires his Planes causing as much damage to his opponent as possible.
This is a very easy to learn game but has deep strategy as you try to guess your opponents moves,get it right and you can inflict some serious damage but get it wrong and it will be you trying to make it
back to the safety of your Airstrip.
The Game is Complete and the Contents are in Excellent Condition.
The Box is also Excellent with only minor storage wear.
The Game Rules also include Advanced Rules which add Cloud Cover,Balloons and Guns as well as a deeper strategy element with team play possible.
Overall this is an Excellent Game which is in Beautiful Condition and is quite Rare to find
